When I was 23 years old, my dad passed away. At that time, I was recovering from multiple knee injuries. I had to deal with a great loss without having any outlet for myself. This is when I decided that it was time to start talking about, and deal with my mental health.

Over the years, and through the use of different tools like therapy, meditation and better communication skills, I can say it changed my life for the better.

I’ve always been passionate about helping others, and after snowboarding for myself for many years, I have been continuously searching for how I can help bringing awareness about mental health within the snow and skate community.

At the end of 2020, my car broke down on the way to a snowboard trip in Austria. My dashboard lit up: ‘TIME FOR SERVICE’ and everything fell into place. Time For Service was born.

Our goal is to introduce younger generations to the impact that the culture of snowboarding and skateboarding has on well-being and your mindset. We believe that this source of personal development will provide tools that can significantly improve a person’s mental health.

By talking about feelings and embracing self compassion, we believe this healthy lifestyle will encourage confidence and a sense of belonging, taking care of yourself and therefore others around you.

Normalising talking about feelings and connecting with yourself can help you to get the tools to continue a healthy lifestyle, in which you feel confident to listen to and care for yourself and others around you.
